Working with some of the most renowned universities, Ci&T's research and development facilitates the introduction of technological innovations that minimize risk and help to maintain business continuity. Ci&T's focus on innovation helps to keep its client ahead of the curve and leveraging the best technology in the market.
In practical terms, this means that processes and technologies used are revisited constantly. Innovation permeates everything that Ci&T does. Ci&T delivered the first project using Java and UML in 1996; as early as 1997 Ci&T was already using a development process based on CMM and the Unified Process; in 1999 Ci&T was using XML, only 9 months after its specification release by the W3C; in 2001 came the first project on interactive TV; the same year, Ci&T was considered a leader in component-based development, a concept that ultimately evolved to what is today known as SOA; Agile methodologies started being used in 2006; AJAX and other Rich Interface technologies such as Flex were also used early on; wikis and blogs have been used as the tool for intranets (including Ci&T's) since 2007. Ci&T is now working on iPhone apps and the use of augmented reality in digital campaigns, as well as leading the industry in the use of Lean methods in IT outsourcing.
What's next? Who knows, the world is always evolving...
“Ci&T has proven that it’s not necessary to sacrifice quality in order to achieve an offshore vendor’s competitiveness level. It is quite the contrary” - FiLife
